I just have one thing to say about this week’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” - Allison DuBois! WHATEVER! She is one crazy medium, psychic, if that’s what she portrayed on the show.
I believe the dinner table fight will go down in history in the Real Housewives franchise. Epic. Allison basically sat there and spewed venom at Kyle Richards while sipping her giant martini and smoking her electronic cigarette. Allison Dubois came off so BADLY when she gave Kyle a reading about how her husband would never emotionally satisfy her.
Obviously there was tension between those two, but Allison should have kept that reading private. Then for Allison to state she knows when Kyle would DIE!! C’mon! There are certainly feelings that a psychic/medium would be aware of if someone were sick or certain points where bad things can happen, but there is no way you can confirm an absolute “death” for someone. That made me sick. That’s like saying “move over Jesus, Allison has arrived”.
There have been many clients that have come through my door worried that they only had a few months to live because some psychic medium said so! I suppose that could be true if the psychic was trying to scare the client to death. Irresponsible!
Allison made a big deal about “having a girl’s night,” and not working, even though Lisa Vanderpump wanted to see a few of Allison’s party tricks, but tried to lure us all in by explaining that she’s been on Oprah and that people can’t get enough of her once they taste her. I guess someone forgot to check their ego at the door, or perhaps it went flying out the window while swigging cocktails like they were water. This is how Psychics and Mediums get a bad reputation. Talk about a bad attitude with a twist of viciousness = bat crap crazy.
Hey Allison, control your emotions…eh. I’m not saying Allison doesn’t have talent, don’t get your thong in a knot…I’m sure she has the potential for being nice…just as I am sure Perez Hilton can be, oh Queen Of Mean.
Here are some of my thoughts on the show and one of the ladies. I feel like Camille isn’t intentionally mean, but she is a bit delusional. She is one of those women that think that every other woman is jealous of her. That is the way that she explains any sort of conflict between her and the other women. Camille, darling…own what’s yours…don’t blame everyone else. Perhaps realizing that you are in part creating the conflict as well, would be a good start. I don’t know you personally, but I do feel you have great energy and probably give more than you get. It makes you exhausted doesn’t it? I would love to tell you what I hear from Spirit about you, but unlike some psychics and mediums, that I won’t mention because I have class…I’ll do it in private!
I know about Television and the “drama” and what it requires. But I truly believe that Allison was completely over the top and a fame “wanna be”, because no self respecting psychic/medium would ever talk and act that way. We don’t always agree with what the client may say, but we are here to dispense positive energy. Even in the light of negative energy. A skill like ours is a terrible thing to waste Allison.

I understand your point of view but with respect, in reading your blog I felt it was one-sided and somewhat hypocritical. Let’s keep in perspective that you’re using your gift to get famous by spreading celebrity gossip…and I’m sure you’re helping a lot of people with your gift too. I’m just saying there’s always more than one perspective, yes? I am a good friend of Allison’s and I won’t try to justify her comments or actions (she can do that for herself as she deems necessary) but I will remind you (and everyone) that there are no one-sided coins. I so wish I had skipped that Real Housewives episode, which I don’t often watch. I am astounded that Allison Dubois, who’s books I have purchased; acted the way she did, so full of venom for women she did not know. I loved the show Medium, which has been canceled. I don’t think I would ever make any effort to see her in person. She is so negative, she needs counseling. If she reflects upon her ‘performance’ on this show, I hope she re-thinks her friendship with Camille. Allison may have totally changed her reputation. She may get no chance to redeem herself. Thank you Barb for the opportunity to see others opinions.
Allison created her own PR nightmare. I can’t imagine making oneself look so horrible. It’s also very telling, watching the shallowness/falseness of Camille, knowing her husband was slipping out the back door. I wonder if Allison told her that her husband would leave her?

i never saw allison show i did saw medium the tv show.but for what i know a medium is not alloud to see when someone is gonna die,that is the number 1 golden rules of a spychic,every spychic no that even if you saw when someone is gonna die your not alloud to tell.she totally give real spychics out there bad name.but i am glad this happend so people could see her for what she really is if your friend with someone like camille then something is whrong with you.
Psychics should use their gifts responsibly. To automatically back-up her friend just served to validate the delusions in Camille’s mind and prevented Camille from reflecting how her own actions might have exacerbated the conflict with Kyle. It’s appalling that Allison Dubois would act so irresponsibly and is not a role model for any psychic. Funny how Allison’s “reading” of Kyle’s marraige boomeranged and hit Camille instead. Allison is a FRAUD.
Allison Dubois is nuts! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing or hearing. This woman needs help and quick! And what was up with the faces she was making after every jab at Kyle, she obvious wanted the attention, but she made a complete ass of herself. When she said that someone was having an affair, I almost fell out of my seat because that is kelsey and Camille was enjoying it not knowing that it pertained to her and not Kyle. This has been my favorite Real Housewives, but I can’t take Camille’s phony soft voice, she instigates and then sits back and enjoys it. Pitiful…is all I have to say…pitiful.

I saw your post on Shayna’s youtube post about Allison’s appearance on BHHW. Absolutely agree that Camille does need to own a few things. Kyle is not blameless in this matter either. At some point she has to accept that Camille is never going to agree with her and move on – sort of “agree to disagree” position instead of “I’m right, your wrong” position. I may be wrong but I don’t see this conflict being resolved with either party admitting they were wrong about anything.
I would say that Camille needs to accept an “agree to disagree” position as well but it does appear that she comes into the conflict with an inherent flaw in her thinking that says “this woman is against me”. And as you describe this as being delusional, I don’t know how you reasonably get past something that seems to have a completely irrational origin. When this episode was filmed I don’t have any idea where Kelsey’s divorce with Camille stood but you have to wonder if all the chaos going on in her life doesn’t put her in a constant defensive mode.
I have to say as a fan of Allison’s and a fan of this reality TV show, this was one of the most entertaining episodes yet because I had no idea what was going to happen next. Here was Allison being the best friend that she could be to Camille explaining who she was for those that hadn’t heard of her (nothing too exagerated here – she really is a big deal), drawing you in probably on purpose, and then unleashing a little taste of the wicked witch of the west that we were all surprised to see her put on display when she needed to come to Camille’s rescue(actually go on the attack on behalf of). You know, I have to say, thats exactly what I would want my friend to do for me. If nothing else, the one big positive that I can take away from it about Allison, if she is your friend, she is not a phony friend at all. She will stand up for you and attack anyone that you feel threatened by. I feel a little guilty to say this but the whole thing made for an entertaining cat fight. With all the wealth and talents these women have at their disposal, they still can’t figure out how to avoid all the same conflicts and pain in their lives that I would like to avoid in mine.
As for the appropriateness of Allison’s actions, I guess I have my doubts about how much of what we saw in this episode was real or the way the editor wanted us to see it. Everyone knew they were on camera through out the whole affair. By this episode, the housewives have probably grown so used to being on camera that they are probably starting to let their guard down. This was a new experience for Allison however and it seemed to me that she was putting on a bit of a show for the camera. So, I just don’t feel she had any sense of how she was coming across to the audience and especially to her fans. She was acting like she would in private for a friend while losing sight of the potential fan backlash she may be initiating by her actions.
I’ve heard and I believe it to be true that the more spiritually advanced that you are the quicker and the bigger the consequences of your actions are. I don’t know what was real pain on this show and how much was orchestrated drama. If Allison truly intended to cause someone pain without a good reason then she’ll have to suffer the consequences and I would think Allison would know those better than anyone. If you think about it, Allison might have done Kyle a tremendous favor by telling her the truth about her relationship with her husband. My advice to Kyle would be to fight fire with fire. Go, find another reknowned psychic that completely contradicts what Allison said and do it in public if you have to.
I disagree. Allison broke several golden rules of a Psychic – instead of using compassion and understanding with her gift, she used it with venom to attack another person (Kyle). This is a major no-no with psychics. If she is so advanced spiritually, why is she so easily unrailed by alcohol? Sorry, I have NO RESPECT for Allison anymore!!
WOW! All I can say is wow! I dont know Allison personally but she really made an ASS of herself. She really looks like a sad, mean drunk. As far as editing goes, everything that was said came out of her MOUTH. Nothing to edit there. I would hope that she does watch that over and over again and really takes a good look at herself. She should be totally ashamed of her actions and learn to have a little class. If she is gifted she did break many rules. I understand standing up for a friend but that was just too much! She realy needs to be humble and apologize for her actions. Its so sickening, if I were Camille I would be ashamed my friend acted that way. She knew she was a drunk and mentioned it several times. This was my first experience with Allison and for SURE MY LAST! What a nasty nasty human being.

Awesome blog Barb, at least someone is standing up and not afraid to comment on this in the same field! Doesn’t matter whether Allison had drinks in her or not, she should have known how she reacts to alcohol and refused or not drink!!! Especially being on TV and the things she spewed!! Terrible.
Barb, I’m sure you understand the ways of TV, would you sell yourself out like Allison seemed to just for TV? I wouldn’t think so. Allison seems like she feels she is higher than anyone because of her skills.

Ways I feel CAMILLE OBVIOUSLY set that dinner up are:
1. THE DRINKS- Were made STRONG because Camille knew Allison’s drinking problem would bring out rude behavior & be aimed at Kyle, getting her re-started. Check
2. Look close, you’ll see Camille’s glances beginning from calling the girls to dinner, to glaring in Kyle’s direction in anticipation of ultimate madness. Even when Lisa asked NOT to go back, Camille overtalked Lisa by bringing up more gossip. Check
3. Camille stated before guests arrived: ‘Most of them were already out the door- by her choice.” Proving she invited them to stir up drama, NOT re-build friendships. Check
4. Allison & Camille’s friend D.D had BETTER SEATS to the dinner show than the others. Hmmm
5. Camille started it all with a reckless tacky idiotic comment seeing Resnick naked in Playboy. If she was nice, she would say it with respect or mention SHE TOO posed. Check
5. LOOK AGAIN- Camille leaned back in her chair & smiled when there were several arguments at the table, which seemed like Camille thought: Check “Mission Accomplished.”
Camille’s obviously ruined by a rich life-style that removed all senses of reality, humbleness, & reason that others have. I wish she was forced to RAISE HER OWN children, WORK, clean her own SMALL home or better yet- APARTMENT teaching her humility & respect. Sadly, she may get 30 million post divorce- teaching her nothing about being a better person. It seems her words: “Kyle’s husband likes multiple woman”, & saying Allison could “tell when someone’s husband’s cheating” were misaimed at Kyle & Allison got paid by Kelsey & Camille’s company made for AMAZING IRONY. Not to mention ‘MEDIUM’ was CANCELLED hopefully due to Allison’s recklessness. Congrats to Kelsey for finding love with someone who may appreciate him sharing HIS talent and money with them.
Barb, great post. I was shocked at this woman’s behavior. I wish she would have consulted her own guides before she went on this show and ruined her own career and credibility.
It makes me sad to see people like this represent psychics. It is hard enough to get any street cred in this industry and all you need is one nut like DuBois and everyone assumes that they are all the same.
I hope she learned a lesson – and it is one that anyone in a metaphysical career should pay attention to.

Thank you for your spot-on comments Barb and for having the courage to make them public. I must say that as I sat watching this train wreck happen I grew very sad for both Camille and Allison. I believe that for those two to receive so much obvious pleasure in hurting others they have to be so miserable that they can hardly stand themselves. They spew venom because they are composed of it, thus it continues to flow forth from them. I feel sorry for anyone who comes in contact with either of them but most of all I feel sorry for them because there is no getting away from themselves or their mirrors every morning. They will always wake up with Camille and Allison.
I did see the Housewives of Beverly Hills that is mentioned here. I have not watched “Medium” in quite awhile, but to be fair to Mrs. Dubois, I do recall she was progressively shown drinking in the show “Medium”, quite a bit at times to try and tune out, cope,sleep etc. I do not personally know what it is like for mediums to be under deluge constantly and overwhelmed at any hour, minute or second of the day by visions, but i can imagine it must not be easy. The situation was horrible all ’round, but mostly for Mrs.Dubois and Kyle. Hearing Camille say quite a few times “i hope Allison doesn’t drink too much tonight it could get out of hand.” Even earlier in the day at lunch with Taylor she mentioned this and then making drinks so strong that on first sip most of the housewives and other guest switched to water, soda or white wine leads me to believe that it may have not been a complete surprise to Camille when the place erupted. I don’t know Mrs. Dubois but from what I’ve seen on “Medium” I would wonder why a “friend” would put her in such a situation. As a friend of someone who is a sensitive and supposedly knew of her drinking i would hope she could recognize this, cherish and protect Allison. Not set her up as a pawn . Having said this i do not wish to throw any stones at Camille either as I don’t know her (taking into account that at that time she was already aware that something was not right in her marriage) Life can be sad at times for us all.. may you all be blessed and remember….we are loved and forgiven as much as we can love and forgive
I agree with what you said. I’ve actually never seen RHOBW but watched this episode last night and had to have a friend explain it to me. I’m a big fan of Medium and I was so confused by Allison’s behavior. I know that Medium is just a show but the difference in the Allison on the Medium vs. the real one was incredible.
I think that this Camille woman was very calculating. She intentionally brought Allison to be manipulative. She kept saying Allison isn’t working, but made a point to tell everyone she was a medium. She egged on the situation and was completely manipulating the situation. I don’t believe that Allison is that close of a friend to Camille at all. I think Allison wants to think she is and Camille lets her do so in order to use her. Camille is incredibly transparent to me and says that everyone is jealous when it’s really her that is jealous. She is a very sad person to me and she used Allison and fed her alcohol to antagonize the situation.
What someone does for a living, or what gifts they possess does NOT define who you are as a person.Be it a singer, dancer, athlete or someone who talks to dead people LOL. I swear, I saw a look of satisfaction in Allison’s eye at one point for adding fuel to an already burning fire. Hopefully those watching the show will not assume all psychic medium’s are tarred with the same brush any more than all doctor’s, lawyers, store clerks construction workers (fill in the blank) etc etc. You get my drift I’m sure.Big hugs to you Barb for who YOU are. xoxo
First of all I agree with Barb ;100%…Living here in LA and knowing about this stuff first hand and having many Reading by Mediums from all over the World.Including with Barb on many occasions….Never have I been spoken to that way by anyone! Ego, is right! She needs to get back on her broom and go back to that Wicked Place Allison Lives….She gives Psychics and Mediums a bad Rep…

Either you are a friend of Camilles or Allisons or you just want to stir up and arguement because you need attention, but no self respecting human being would ever justify this so-called professional psychic for her behavior and what she said about “if one of their kids went missing…f&*$ them”. C’mon that is NEVER OK!..and as for Camille its sad, but it is very obvious of her narcissistic attitude and her inflated ego,paranoia and “better then everyone” personality that she her self is locked in to a somewhat “Machiavelli” behavior..To me and a few of us who viewed this episode, it truly does not come off as “doing it for ratings” it is believable to us that these women (Camile and Allison)are really and truly like this every day of their lives. So please john if you truly like these women then help them, don’t stick up for them or anyone who has malicious intent against people especially their families who are completely innocent!!!!

I just want to say i admire the work you do, I have commented alot on the current drama regarding Allison Dubois it really disturbed me watching her performance, i kept thinking why would a person with her talent and career make such a bad decision. Was it all staged, was it for ratings, or was she truely that disturbed? In the end she has to answer to herself, and the fact that she has not made a public statement or an appology really concerns me, she has a show that has been created about her and for her to stoop down to the reality tv drama really makes me think that she has lost all credibilty. I hope that Camille Grammer paid her alot of money for this stunt, because i am sure this will not help her career. Again Thank You and i look forward to seeing you in upcomming events. Christopher !

I agree with most of what you said, especially where Allison is concerned. I consider it unethical for a reader to predict a death and would never even want to receive that information. I certainly wouldn’t brag about it. Allison didn’t just make herself look bad, she reflected badly on all of us who do psychic work.
I think Camille’s problems run a little deeper than just being a little delusional. I think she’s enjoying giving Kyle a bad time. She was enjoying it when Allison was saying that horrible stuff, all of which, ironically, fit Camille far better than it did Kyle. It’s not unusual to pick up on the wrong person when you’ve got a group sitting around a table that way.
My question is whether this party was filmed before or after Medium was canceled. Could Karma be at work there?
Let’s see if we can do a reading on Mrs. Dubois — I see that the show based on you will no longer exist after this season and your ego will suddenly get deflated because you will realize that you ruined ALL credibility by your actions on the Housewives of BH. I can see why you’re such good friends with Camille, you’re both grasping at fame and think that it makes you better than what you really are. You BOTH need a reality check. Camille’s husband has moved on, and if Allison is really like this and the show is truly based on your real life — I think Joe may follow in the footsteps of Kelsey. You see, once your show is over, your husband will lose interest in you and find NO fulfillment whatsoever in YOU because he was ONLY interested in you being his wife because of the show. NOW, how does THAT feel — You, ma’am, are seriously a JERK and for your sake I hope that the saying ‘you reap what you sow’ will not come back to haunt you.

I agree 100%. How wrong is it for a medium to announce they know when you are going to die?! (which I don’t believe they can) but what may have been worse, is when Dubois stated about the women she was in a fight with (paraphraing) “just wait till one of their kids turns up missing, then they will want my help….well F**^ them!”….ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? not help an innocent child because you are upset with the parent?!? I see no light in her, hopefully it is temporary.
Camille, to me, has issues from childhood and possibly an imbalance, which I can have compassion for. However Allison, I feel, has a greater responsibility as a public psychic, to behave with more class, compassion and discretion.
