I had the opportunity to meet Barb Powell after doing some research about physic mediums etc. I had originally thought there was a "presence" in my home, turns out there wasn't but it also became a very informative session for me.
I never told her anything about myself, my past nor anything that had been an issue. All she was aware of was that I had wanted to see her for a reading. That was it. She astounded me with her detail about things she knew about my past, that were specific, none of this run-of-mill "safe" guesses or predictions. I said almost nothing to her during the entire hour we were together, not even a nod of assent. It wasn't until afterwards that I was able to fully comprehend the true magnitude of what had occured and that there was no way of her to have gotten any of this information prior to seeing me. I truly believe in the "paranormal" and the unexplained, she left me feeling very good about my own future and what was to come of it! I was greatly impressed with her and ended the session with a sense of hope, astonishment and an overall feeling of "contentment" with the direction my life was heading.

A friend and I attended a session with Barb Powell on one of her trips to Edmonton. My friend Lauren, went in first, and while I was waiting, I was reading a magazine and thinking about nothing in particular.
At one point I was daydreaming, about previous "psychic events" and my own beliefs, I was remembering an event shortly after my daughter Tori passed away some years before.
When it was my turn with Barb, within a very short time, she connected with "Tori", and was asking me questions about whether I had ever spoken to her about angels. I replied "no, I had conversations about angels with my other daughter". Over the next several minutes, Barb asked me a few more questions which I answered, but she seemed to be getting more and more confused. Finally, she admitted that "Tori" was teaching HER a valuable lesson, about delivering the message "as given" and not placing her own interpretation on it.
When I asked what she meant, Barb simply said, "She wants me to tell you that "You are right about the angels".." My heart stopped! While I was in the hallway, waiting my turn, one of the questions I was asking myself was "I wish I knew if I was right about the angels? If there was some way to know if I was right about my guardian angels' names?
She had hit on MY wording WORD FOR WORD.

I would like to update you of our reading that we did near the end of October.
If you will remember, I was the lady that came in need of help for my 4 year old son. Things have drastically improved. The biggest and most noticable difference came just this week when I received a stone. The pink stone with white flecks or striations that you mentioned during the reading. I was able to track it down. It arrived just this past Monday and since then my son has slept through the night 5 out of the past 7 nights. He has also gone to bed on his own too. And somehow, his acting out or temper tantrums as you saw, have diminished as well. I am absolutely amazed. As for my portion of the reading, you had tapped into my Aunt M and she had the message for the diabetic in the family. Well, it was my Father. I thought he was hypoglycemic but my Mother confirmed that he is indeed diabetic. I passed the message onto him and told him he could take it for whatever he thinks.
You had mentioned that you saw a removal of my thyroid gland and it dawned on me later where that fit into the scheme of things. I have tested positive for thyroid antibodies for a very long time. Basically this means that my own body is rejecting my thyroid tissue, slowly eating away at it. Its the same as someone receiving an organ donation and their body rejecting it. That took a bit to figure out but it makes total sense now.
You have also helped me to release a huge amount of guilt that I had with putting down my old cat. Thanks for reminding me that she actually did have hip problems and for letting me know that the time would have happened soon anyways. I feel so relieved now and have been able to put that hurting part of myself away.
So other than the fact that you are simply amazing, thanks so much for putting me at ease. I was so nervous when I showed up but you instantly put me at ease. I, just recently, started a quest to become more familiar with my spirituality. As you mentioned in our reading that I would be looking at specializing in a branch of hypnosis, I am looking at becoming a past life regression specialist. Now to fit that training in with my busy life.
Anyways, not to take a ton of you time, but this was meant to be a very appreciative letter to say thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. Oh and before I forget, are you still having those meditation sessions once a month? I have to seriously look at that if you are still having them.

I had never really thought about mediums much less contacting one until my husband was killed last August at the age of 36. I never got to talk to him or say those last things you need to because of his sudden passing. There were so many questions I and my children had and things I wanted him to know. I decided I had nothing to lose and got the name of the medium Barb Powell from the internet. We had a phone session and I can honestly say it changed my life. She told me things only he would have known, the details were so accurate. She left me with no doubt in my mind that she had made contact with him. When someone with the incredible gift that Barb has shares it with you and helps you get through the toughest time in your life you can't thank them enough so I thought I would write this letter. Her reading made me realize that there is life after death, we are not alone, and that when someone you love passes you don't completely lose them. She did for me what no one else could and hearing from my husband has given me the strength to try to go on.

I wanted to thank you again for the reading. I have had a few days to really digest my reading. I must tell you, it has been quite a religious experience for me. Validation that there is life after death is a big wow!! It has changed me tremendously in ways I didn't expect. I always have believed in God and life after death but somehow now, it is a stronger belief. I don't quite know how to explain it. I just can't thank you enough for the experience.
I was interested about my cat on our phone call because of the tremendous guilt I felt surrounding her illness and suffering. But I am ok now knowing she is happy.
I had asked you about my husband's grandparents. Boy oh boy, you were right on the money. My husband's mother told me this morning that his grandfather always did say that my husband was his second chance at being a father. And his watch did stop when he died.

Barb's reading was excellent. I only purchased a 15 min because I was unsure...but was she right on. Call her don't waste your money on the very expensive mediums, she is amazing. Can't wait for a full reading. I sound like I'm her friend writing this, but I have never met her before as I had the reading on the phone, I was amazed. She knew everything. Very very good and she also cares and is very easy to talk to.

I had my reading with Barb and all I can say is wow, she is very eerie is the word I will use to describe her. It was like she knew me all my life and then some. I was a bit nervous when she began because it was like she saw all my secrets, but she never judged but helped me figure things out and see everything in a different way.
